Most houses make everything. We make belts, bags, and the small leather goods that go with them — and we make them better than anyone.
Our Story
Born at a workbench,
not a boardroom.
White Sand began with a single frustration: belts that cracked, buckles that flaked, edges that frayed within a season. Everything looked luxurious and lasted like it wasn't.
So we went back to first principles — the saddlery techniques that made leather goods heirlooms rather than accessories. Full hides instead of splits. Stitching instead of glue. Cast gold alloy instead of plated zinc. Sixty-one steps, one artisan, no assembly line.
The bench that cut belt №001 now cuts bags and small leather goods on the same principle: a tote, a portfolio, a card case, a key fob — and nothing we cannot make better than the last house that tried. The card cases are cut from belt-strap offcuts, because a hide that took three years to grow deserves better than a bin.
We hold to three colours and nothing else: black, ivory, and the gold that closes them. A house that limits its palette has nowhere to hide.
Everything that leaves the atelier is numbered, logged in the maison ledger, and guaranteed for life.

Sixty-one steps, in brief.
A belt looks like a simple object. It is a strap, a buckle, and a row of holes. That simplicity is exactly why nothing can be hidden — every shortcut shows within a year.
- I.Selection. Hides bought in person, twice a year. Fewer than one in five passes inspection for grain, thickness, and evenness of colour.
- II.Cutting. Straps cut along the spine, where the fibre is tightest, so the belt will not stretch out of shape.
- III.Skiving. The fold at the buckle is thinned by hand to a feather so the strap lies flat through the keeper.
- IV.Stitching. Saddle-stitched with two needles and waxed linen. If one stitch fails, the row holds — machine lockstitch will not.
- V.Burnishing. Edges beveled, inked, and worked with beeswax and friction until they shine like glass.
- VI.Hardware. Buckles cast in solid gold alloy, never plated — built to earn a patina rather than lose one.

The maison is founded around a single workbench, two tannery partnerships, and a refusal to compromise on construction. The Heritage — belt №001 — is cut, stitched, and numbered.
The Hides
Leathers are selected in person, twice a year: vegetable-tanned calfskin from Tuscany, wax-stuffed bridle from the English Midlands. Fewer than one hide in five passes inspection.
The Hands
Each belt is assigned to one artisan who owns it from first cut to final polish — and signs the ledger beside its number when it ships.
The Promise
Lifetime restitching, complimentary first-year resizing, and blind-embossed initials on every belt. If it ever fails you, it comes home to the bench.
